Dog friendly fall festivities
Over the summer Dozer back left paw was hurt three times first he sprained the ankle of that paw second one of his toe nails broke off exposing the nerve and lastly during hurricane Ida his paw was steped on by a person staying at my parents house with us and was uncaring ( it is a long story that will upset me if i get into it again) but Dozer is ok now but now he is on a daily supplement for his joints he takes one in the morning and one in the evening i am also going to be adding fish oil to his food in the mornings and evenings as soon as its delivered
i also decided to invest in a small verity of agility equipment for Dozer to WALK through and gently work out nothing extreme just a few things that can be used to help keep his joints from getting stiff and keeping him active plus i think it will be fun to work with him with the agility stuff and hope it will help our bound grow closer
i also got a verity of training toys and activities / games for him to help keep his mental capabilities exercised as well as his physical exercise that the agility equipment will be doing this way they investing in all of this stuff I hope that Dozer will have a well around it routine for when he is off duty and not acting as a service dog he will be able to have physical and mental exercises to keep him from getting bored and keep him young at heart he is 8 years old so nothing I got will be strenuous or extreme for him to figure out but he is very smart so I’m trying to invest in things that I can keep mixing up so that he does not get bored with the same old thing over and over I want to make it fun for him but also be a healthy activity as well
i will be getting more actitives tools and games for Dozer for Christmas including sniff mats interactive activity mats hid and seek toys treat dispenser toys a pool rope toys tennis balls dog safe bubles a chuck it plushy toothpaste and brush set a self cleaning dog brush interactive toys agility sets and a wond rope dog toy (looks like a giant cat feather toy but with rope not feathers to swirl around for dogs yo chase and jump up for) among other things like a verity treats chews bones (dog safe) and stuff like that ues i might be gping a little overbord but i have plans for all these things and Dozer so i thought it best to get what i can while i can get sales on the iteams on my list
So for Halloween im going to make a indoor and outdoor feld day (activity day)
outdoors he will have some agility stuff set up and a picnic dog safe bubbles and other fun outdoor games and a nice long walk then indoors ill have his kiddy pool ball pit set up and every sniff mat and activities mat and interactive treat despening toy set up for him to go to town and have a blast with a special dinner and chew before bedtime with picture time in his Halloween costume (to be announced later)
Now that he is fully recovered and my own personal health issues are starting to settle down and that the weather is starting to be really nice outside im planing on doing a lot more fun outdoor activities with Dozer and of course do more interactive games on days we stay indoors
